ST. PAUL -- The Minnesota Vikings and their fans have something to cheer about. And they did cheer and sang “Skol, Vikings,” the team’s fight song, during a Thursday evening news conference celebrating legislative passage earlier in the day of a plan to build a new stadium for the Vikings and other events. It is to be open in 2016.
When a suspect in a drug transaction was chased after by the West St. Paul Police Department and the Dakota County Drug Task Force two weeks ago, the man had seemingly escaped.
A benefit fund has been set up to help the Hastings family that lost its house, camper and truck to a fire recently. The homeowners are Nolan and Jean Appert.

A crash May 7 immediately north of the Hastings bridge injured at least one person and snarled traffic in both directions.

Hastings High School senior Klair Becker puts her family first. She spends many hours, several nights a week providing around-the clock care for her grandparents. She would not have it any other way.

As if things weren’t bad enough already for Nolan and Jean Appert! Two weeks ago, their house was destroyed by fire on 17th Street.
On behalf of all of the students in the Hastings High School Riverside Company show choir, we would like to extend an enormous thank you to the entire Hastings community for your tremendous support our entire season, culminating in our trip to the Show Choir National Championship competition in Chicago and our third-place finish in the competition.
Make community theater your summer hobby! Maybe you were involved in theater choir, dance, band, or orchestra while you were in school. Maybe you have never taken the risk, but wondered what it would be like.
