‘Skol, Vikings’ heard ‘round the Capitol

ST. PAUL -- The Minnesota Vikings and their fans have something to cheer about. And they did cheer and sang “Skol, Vikings,” the team’s fight song, during a Thursday evening news conference celebrating legislative passage earlier in the day of a plan to build a new stadium for the Vikings and other events. It is to be open in 2016.

Ozzy, the Hastings Police K9, makes arrest in West St. Paul

When a suspect in a drug transaction was chased after by the West St. Paul Police Department and the Dakota County Drug Task Force two weeks ago, the man had seemingly escaped.

Fund established to benefit Hastings family that lost its home to fire two weeks ago

A benefit fund has been set up to help the Hastings family that lost its house, camper and truck to a fire recently. The homeowners are Nolan and Jean Appert.

Crash just north of Hastings bridge injures one person, whose truck rolled down embankment

A crash May 7 immediately north of the Hastings bridge injured at least one person and snarled traffic in both directions.
